What you need to know about CCTV security system

CCTV or closed circuit television is a security system that uses different types of security cameras to monitor movements or movements around target areas. In most cases, the image detected by the camera is sent to the video management system which can be a DVR (digital video recorder), NVR (network video recorder) or management software/server video where the image can be displayed on a computer monitor or TV monitor as well as stored in a storage system.
Images of one or all of the cameras that make up the surveillance system can be archived or archived for any length of time depending on the needs and size of the storage system mainly consisting of one or more hard disk.
The video signal from the camera can be monitored at different locations on the network using a mobile phone.
Places where you have a CCTV system installed are typically described as being monitored and for public places some kind of warning sign is required to indicate that CCTV is present in the area. . CCTV systems come in different forms - analog, IP and wireless and each of them uses a different set of equipment and technologies.
Analog CCTV systems use cameras often described as AHD or Analog High Definition.
AHD uses coax cable to transmit HD video from the security camera to the DVR. AHD supports 720p and 1080p HD video resolutions.
Analog systems are much cheaper and the picture quality is still pretty good, especially the 1080P system.
For the requirement of an analog CCTV system, there are AHD cameras, DVRs, coax cables as well as hard drives for storage. The DVR can be connected to the network and as such, the camera can be viewed on the network and on a smartphone.
On the other hand, IP system works on a computer network just like any other network device.
